A note from Robert:
The important role of our Consumer Consultants
Across the Healthscope group we have a dedicated focus on the provision of quality healthcare for our patients.
A major contribution in helping us to facilitate this comes from our consumer consultants who play an active role in each of our 46 hospitals.
For our large team of clinical, allied and primary healthcare providers as well as our business administrators, we have an intimate understanding of the healthcare sector and the ins and outs of how it works.
We don’t often get to perceive healthcare from the view of our patients and visitors.
Our consumer consultants bridge this gap.
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting with the Victorian consumer consultant group, whose specific role is to provide guidance to Healthscope corporate, to update them on business, our growth and other key projects.
Our conversation was highly productive and informative, each consultant has a specific area of healthcare interest from acute, mental health and rehabilitation to specialised areas such as maternity or cardiac, however they all share a
passion for patient outcomes and a willingness to share their knowledge and experience to help better our healthcare service.
For me, there were a number of key outcomes and learnings from our meeting and I look forward to seeing them implemented within our hospitals.
