Darwin Private Hospital received a major facelift during 2016 with improvements seen throughout the entire hospital.
From the revamping of the main signage (which had been the same, somewhat tired first impression for the past 30 years), to a completely overhauled entrance and reception area complete with freshly painted ceilings, new artwork, and modern flooring and furnishings.
We welcomed Hudsons Coffee shop to the front foyer which leads out to a tranquil Zen garden that also received a much-needed make-over complete with calming water feature to enjoy alfresco dining.

Our wards were freshened up with all the rooms receiving new paint, window dressings and a few other smaller touches to make our patients more comfortable.
We added two new state-of-the-art theatres and renovated the existing five giving Darwin Private Hospital seven high quality theatres for our resident and visiting surgeons.

As well as the more changes, we have undertaken some major behind-the-scenes renovations including new cooling units, an undated plant room with new generator and a totally new CSSD unit.
Our catering staff didn’t miss out either and were excited to receive a total kitchen revamp with top-of-the-range ovens and equipment to make cooking hundreds of meals a day much easier and more efficient.
Our improvements ranged from small noticeable touch-ups to major constructional changes and has been a very exciting time for Darwin Private Hospital.
